Purpose

To improve opportunities for domestic workers to obtain valued skills, knowledge and decent work.

Motto

“Stir it in – Share it out”

Values

Care – in our work and for others
Capacity – practical learning for employable skills
Community – learning together, sharing with others

How Training Helps

Improved skills in the kitchen and a better understanding of home hygiene and nutrition builds confidence among housekeepers and home cooks alike. Happy kitchens help nourish healthy families. Healthy food provides the energy for growing, learning, working and sharing those skills and knowledge with the community.

Three Good Spoons’ long-term goal is to deliver accredited training for domestic workers. Myanmar women employed as domestic staff (maids) at home and overseas are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. Accredited training can promote domestic employment as a viable means of improved livelihood within Myanmar, where women can maintain contact with their family and community and develop transferrable skills.
